Bux.to Now Set To Use Pre-Paid MasterCard as Payment Option

With most of the talk on the official Bux.to forum centering around the eagerly awaited Bux.to Card, it was great to see a update from Admin today regarding alll the answered questions relating to the release & use of the card. The most surprising thing in the announcement is the change from Visa Electron (as we all were told it would be) to MasterCard. This is probably in hindsight; a better option as MasterCard will be more widely acceptable than the Visa Electron Card, so a good move for Bux.to & a even better one for it's 2.5M members. The other surprising thing in the annonucement was the fees for the card, these will be a lot smaller than I originally anticipated & the limit you can put on the card is a whopping $12,500! which will test even the top members at Bux.to! Read he full official announcement for the Bux.to card below:

serveral days for funds to appear on card

Bux.to News & Updates (March 1st 2008)

Another week & another Bux.to update on the forum. Apparently the Bux.to card has been delayed slightly & the tech team are still working on the new servers performance & stability. There are many exciting things happening with Bux.to at the moment & we are all very pleased to be getting regular updates from Tri one of the Bux.to Admin. Below is the latest update from
Bux.to:

1. In order to improve forum's performance and stability, some changes has been done. Guests are now required to login to view and join discussions in the Protected Forums (General Talk, Support & Technical Issues, Suggestions, Non-English and Off-Topic) while Announcements, Success Stories and Advertisers will be left open for free view along with Graveyard

2. Some changes on the admin side. With the new staff changes, our support system will be improved. Expected to get your responses within 24 hours after making a ticket as more staffs are now involve with the ticket system. Live chat will be online more often, we're hoping to make it online 24 hours a day.

3. Regarding Bux.to card again...just talked to our coders, they said they already corresponded with the relevant people in order to perfect the API and should be ready today or tomorrow when thorough testing is completed.

This is all great news, but what I like about Bux.to admin & especially 'Tri' is the frequency of the announcements. We all like to have REGULAR updates it keeps us informed, up-to-date & also stops many members posting the same old questions we read a hundered times a day in the forum! Communication is the key to running any successful business & in Bux.to the communication between its members has been top notch. Please keep it up Bux.to, we all sincerely appreciate all the hard work that is being done there.

Bux.to Official Updates (February 23rd 2008)

It has been a while since any official updates regarding a few pending matters & yesterday we got some news regarding the Bux.to card, servers & payments...

1. Cluster/Servers/Stats/Website accessibility

Bux.to is growing very fast. We are still having problems and trying to find the best configuration. We recognized that the MySQL servers are insufficient as traffic we receive is massive, we serve up to 5 million page views a day.
We took actions by adding another server which will be integrated early next week. We'll see how this will help with the issues. It was a huge amount in terms of cost. Consider this cluster as part of the investment for our members to provide the best service.

2. Bux.to card

We were planning to release the card with our own design and logo, but this is taking longer than expected. So instead we will start out first with cards from our supplier with the embossed 'www.bux.to' a very basic design. Card orders will be accepted from Monday or Tuesday next week with more specific details to follow. The good looking design will be out a few weeks later for ordering.

3. Payments

We pay our members everyday as you will see on their feedback on the success stories.
Just the whole PayPal issue, we have hired an attorney to take care of this. They still own us a large sum amount of money. We can assure you we are a serious business and that all members are getting paid accordingly to our TOS

Great news about the Bux.to card! lets hope those legal crooks at Paypal give them their money back - I sympathise, I have been in the same position with Paypal. Stop using Paypal & make Alertpay your way of paying TODAY.

Bux.to Visa Electron Debit Card Released This Week

Many Bux.to members have been getting very excited by the news that Bux.to are all set to release the Bux.to Visa Electron Debit Card. This will probably be made available via ikobo & is available to premium members only, although this may change in the coming weeks/months. This is truly great news for all Bux.to members as it shows they are in this for the long-term & not here just to make a few bucks & vanish into oblivion like many PPC sites do on a regular basis. At present Bux.to pays out & accepts payments by their new payment processor Alertpay. As you may or may not know, Paypal stopped all payments regarding PPC sites about 3 weeks ago & for a while left hundreds of thousands of members from various PPC sites up the proverbial creek without a paddle. The news of the Bux.to debit card is a great idea & will allow any member from virtually any country that accepts Visa to be paid via their card (no bank account required) Premium members who get the card will have to pay a fee between $1.99 (US & Canadian Residents) & $11.99 (International Residents) all cards are sent out by FedEx & you can choose to have it delivered by express (3-5 days) or standard delivery (7-14 days) To any people that are worried that their country may not accept Visa Electron I can say with a good degree of certainty that if your country & ATM machines accept Visa cards you will be able to wihdraw your funds from your card. As a Visa Electron card holder for the last 5 years, I have been able to use the card online & in London, Madrid & Amsterdam (don't ask what I was doing there!) Don't let the 'Electron' bit worry you - As long as they accept Visa you should be okay. If you have any queries regarding the card please leave me a message & I will be only too happy to assist you.
